Hacienda San Antonio is a colonial farm more than 100 years old, and to this day remains dedicated to its original function raising livestock, although it has accomodated the modern necessities of its owners serving as a lovely weekend home just one and a half hours from Bogota. With traditional architecture from the epoca, including adobe walls and spacious, covered porches refurbished as outdoor social areas, it´s a perfect family retreat.

The farm is located between La Vega and Villeta, overlooking the Club Payande. Its proximity to this prestigious club is an advantage for people who may want to play golf and have somewhere nearby to stay. The entrance is just off the Autopista Medellin, an advantage especially during winter when the roads can be difficult to navigate. The house overlooks the river Tobia from the pool and terraces and due to its shady location under mature trees, it offers a cool, pleasant atmosphere. The condition of the house is impeccable and the decoration is sober and understated.

The parking area is giant courtyard made of cobblestone with beautiful mature trees providing shade. It´s a space that lends itself to events such as weddings, luncheons and parties. During the summer season, there are blooming orchids and bromeliads in these tropical trees – a real treat for guests.

Hacienda San Antonio has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Some bedrooms can accomodate up to 4 people. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, all “en suite” except for one. All bathrooms have hot water.

The kitchen area is large and divided into 3 parts including a cupboard for serving dishes and tableware, a prep kitchen, and laundry area. There is a covered terrace off to the side with gas BBQ, recommended for lunch (as it´s cooler in the afternoon than the pool area). In the library there is a TV with DirecTV, game table and a Bose stereo for iPod.

There is one horse available for children (the administrator can accompany young children on rides in the garden for a small additional fee).

There is additional room for bodyguards, nannies and other service people, just off the garaje area.
